Ok, this is where we all have our say about the Web Tools that are on this site...... of course we will be using one here to do this....... but hey what can I say...... post your opinions, and of course mine will always be here to read :) while your waiting for me to install the Forum from Free Tools, you can also answer the mini poll :)

Bravenet: now here is a site that offers some great FREE web tools to add to any web site. The best thing I found about their tools was how highly customizable they were, and how simple to use..... you don't need to be a rocket scientist to use these...... see I proved it didn't I .... LOL
They not only let you customize colours, font type, font size, and so on, you can also add graphics to the forums, guest books, mini polls and chat rooms.... you have several settings to choose from for each of the different tools, you can even password protect forums! I am very impressed with these tools so far..... they look great but do they work well ? ......time will tell :)
Oh and I must mention their great Counter ! You can set it so it won't register if you access your site in a brower! now that is Impressive ! I don't know about you, or if I have just been away for too long, but I have never seen this option on any other ones out there.... let me know if you have........
The one other item I would like to mention is the 'Human Click' that they offered, you first have to install their software, I feel this may be similar to getting ICQ, although NO WHERE comparable, ........ the draw back I find, and this is the biggy, is that in order to use any of the options, you have to pay for it........ now that defeats our motto.... Keep Cyberspace FREE........it displays if I am online right on my web site, but you will not be able to chat with me, or leave a message for me....... bummer....... guess ICQ has one up on them.......... heres a thought.... oooohhhhh another thought, this is good.......... I am still using ICQ 98a, LOL I did update it only once LOL LOL ........ well seeing I want to try New things I suppose I will update it .... hehehe, if you happen to see this Cam, won't you be proud of me.............

Next up I will see what Freeservers is pushing, I had quickly took a glance when I first signed up..... I noticed they have teamed up with another site that offers free web tools, it is called Free Tools, I am sure you will soon be seeing them plastered all over this site too......I will be using one of their forums here to test it against the regular Message Board room....... although I still have work to do on that one, I never fully configured it, geesh so much work, so little time .............

I did put a Freeservers counter on the index page to the site, unfortunatly it has counted everytime I accessed the site to check on things........ this I Do Not recomend, if you want an accurate count of hits...... we will see what Free Tools has to offer........

Well, I have checked out what Free Tools is offering...... personally I like the customizabity from bravenet and they offer a lot more...... You can confirgure Free Tools products when it comes to font, colour and adding an image, but there is not as many options...... for one, you can not password protect a forum like bravenet offers.......sorry the forum I used the password on was a top secret forum and I can not disclose its where abouts <grin> ....... ........I also find the user interface of Free Tools for administration is not as well designed.

I must say that bravenet has offered the widest range, most customization and easy to use tools out there.... in my opinion they win hands down !

Nov 6, 2001 - This SUCKS BIG TIME! sorry, I just found out that Freeservers does not allow FTP ! what the Hell is using this server good for than, expecially if I have to pay to be able to upload any pics, or what ever I may find interesting ! Oh they sucked me in big time, let me use FTP for the first 5 DAYS! They must be affiliated with 50megs, they did that to me too, they cut out FTP unless you paid for their service..... what is the Internet coming too !! Oh I can edit my pages in THIER stupid text editor, but I will not ever be able to upload cool pics, graphics or anything else ! Anyone out their know of a good server that is still FREE and offers FTP ????

Later On...... Well Freeservers IS OUT ! If anyone out there knows of any virtual hosts that offer FTP access included in their FREE package please list them here........

I decided that anything I have to say will be said in the journal, so this section will probably not be updated again, although you never know when I may change my mind ...... or loose my mind..... which ever comes first....... if you have anything to say, say it on a MeSSaGe BoARd ..... still would like a discussion of any web tools or software.... hint hint
